Trip Schedule / Sample Itinerary

Note; all schedules are subjected to changes according to weather, sea, diving, & local conditions.

Friday (0 dives) meet 5-5.30pm at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal(Singapore Cruise Centre) departure gate (opposite 7-eleven).  White Manta Diving Crew will provide ferry tickets (included in Trip price) and accompany you on the ferry ride to Batam, where we will transport you to the waiting New White Manta.  Clear immigration, welcome briefing, & sail overnight to the dive site. Dinner is served onboard.  Note; Please DO NOT be lateCheck-in closes at 6pm, guests arriving later than this will forfeit their trip.  

Saturday (4 dives) Check out dive at Tokong Malangbiru, then onto thesubmerged sea-mount of Batu Kataoka, before returning to Tokong Malangbiru for final dive sunset/ night dive (All* reef diving 10-30m; pristine hard corals).   Overnight sail to Igara wreck.

Sunday (2 dives) Igara wreck (depth 16-40m).  Sail back to Bintan port to clear immigration, then return ETA 8-9pm to Punggol Marina, Singapore.  Note; last Dive ends by midday, Sunday.  If you must fly the same day you will NOT be able to partake in the last 2 dives or reschedule. This is to allow for your minimum 18 hours surface interval/ No Fly Time (as recommended by PADI).

Diving days: 2 days (6 dives)

Dive Site Information

  • Water Temp: 27-30 degrees Celsius.
  • Air Temp: 28-30 degrees Celsius.
  • Visibility: 15-30 metres, Visibility (Igara Wreck); 5-15+ meters.
  • Current; mild to strong
  • Level: Anambas Island, suitable for all levels for divers. Igara Wreck, intermediate to advanced divers.
  • Best Time to Dive: April to end of October

What to See / Highlights

  • Anambas Island; Hawksbill & Green Turtles, Cuttlefish, Octopus, stingray & Giant Moray Eels.  Stunning hard coral gardens play host to a vast array of reef life; Triggerfish, scorpionfish, damsel fish, clown fish, surgeon fish, trevally, Barracuda, snapper, fusilier and more, occasional sightings of Whale Shark possible!  
  • The Igara wreck start at 16 meters below, using a line to control our descents/ ascents.  It is important to listen carefully to dive the briefing, especially with regards to entry / exit If strong currents are present.

Embarkation

  • Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT), Singapore
  • Note; due to a change in Indonesian regulations it is necessary to use the ferry service to Batam.   We will provide you with your ticket upon your arrival to TMFT.  Please help us ensure that your passport details are correct.  
  • Please DO NOT be lateCheck-in closes at 6pm, guests arriving later than this will forfeit their trip.  

Disembarkation

  • Marina Country Club, Punggol, Singapore
  • Note; since our departure & arrival locations are different we advise using a taxi service before & after your trip.

How to get to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT), Singapore

  • Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal; 50 Tanah Merah Ferry Road.
  • Taxi; since our departure & arrival locations are different, we advise using a taxi service.  If you drive and park at TMFT, you will need to use a taxi service to retrieve your car at the end of the weekend.
  • Own vehicle; If you drive and park at TMFT, ensure you have at least S$40 on your cash card for 2-day weekend trip, you will also need to use a taxi service to retrieve your car at the end of the weekend.
  • Bus;SBS Bus transit service 35M which operates between Bedok Interchange and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.  Route information can be found at the SBS transit website here.
  • Note; if you have large bags, we recommend you bring them to us in the week before, latest on Thursday evening, at Punggol Marina Country Club, 11 Northshore Drive 828670.  Our Cruise Leader will be in touch in the week leading up to your trip with more details.  Exit from TPE to Punggol Way (entrance is at the end of Punggol Way).

How to get from Marina Country Club, Singapore

  • Taxi; Marina Country Club, 11 Northshore Drive, Singapore, 828670
  • Own vehicle; via TPE Exit 10 or Exit 11, by Punggol Way.  Punggol Marina car park over the weekend, rates are very reasonable with a maximum charge of S$3.21 for any 24hr period (just under S$10 for the weekend)LRT Samudera station on the Punggol LRT West Loop is just steps away from the Marina & Country Club

Immigration Requirements

  • Copy of your Passport (ID-page)
  • Copy of your IC Card; Permanent Residence, Dependents Pass & Malaysian Passports
  • Copy of your Employment Pass or Dependents Pass; Foreign Workers.
  • Copy of your Multiple-Entry Visa if applicable.
  • Note; Citizens of Singapore ONLY need scan of Passport (ID-page) since your ID-Number in on this page.

Travel Documents

  • Visa Exemption or Visa on Arrival (VoA); many countries now receive a free 30 days on arrival, some pay USD35 to obtain VoA, others will have to obtain Visa BEFORE Arrival.
  • Passport; ensure your passport is in good order, has enough pages, is valid for at least 9 months, and that you can enter Indonesia.  If unsure then please check with your local Indonesian Embassy BEFORE your trip.

Health & Insurance

  • Dive Insurance; compulsory for this trip.  We also strongly advise you get adequate travel insurance. Please check your travel insurance policy for your diving needs.  If not covered then we recommend DiveAssure for their single trip policy cover.
  • Dive Computer; compulsory on this trip.  We have rentals onboard if you do not have.
  • Follow Safe Diving Practices at ALL times plus No Deco Diving and No Solo Diving.
  • Travel Insurance; please NOTE: we cannot be held accountable for airline flight changes, delays, or cancellations.  We STRONGLY advise you take out adequate insurance to cover such eventualities.  We recommend World Nomad for their flexible worldwide cover for travel insurance.

Internet

  • Internet; Satellite Wi-Fi (charges apply)
  • Mobile/ Internet signal; local Telkomsel is best local card to buy.  Limited mobile signal on this trip once we depart Singapore. 

Trip Extras payment onboard

  • By Credit card comes with 4.5% additional handling fee.
  • By Cash we accept US Dollars, Euro, and Singaporean Dollars.  Please ensure ALL bills are in good order; NOT worn or torn and unmarked or we are UNABLE to accept.  Exchange rates differ for USD100/50 bills and USD20/10 bills. Current Exchange rate. ATMs available in town.
  • Fuel Surcharge; NO fuel surcharge in place at this time but may be implemented to account for any wide fluctuations.

Trip Extras

  • Port fee S$50
  • Massage S$30/hr, Satellite Wi-Fi S$30/ pax, soft drinks S$2.50, beer S$4.50, Nespresso S$2.50, snacks S$4; chocolate S$2; wine S$50.
  • Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx32) delivered by membrane: S$15/fill for 12l cylinder; S$18/fill for 15l cylinder (BIG tank).
  • Note: Nitrox is priced per fill and is subject to availability

  • Note; Diving Gear Items priced per diving day and is subject to availability  
  • Note; Exposure suits; 3mm shorty wetsuits available ONLY.    

Gear Check List

  • BCD, Regulator, Fins/Booties, Mask, Snorkel, Wetsuit, Dive Computer (check battery), Torch (with batteries), SMB (Surface Marker Buoy), hood. If you do not have we have rental gear available, just let us know what items and sizes (if applicable) in advance as all gear is subject to availability.
  • Note; Dive Computer is compulsory during all our trips per diver. If you do not have we have available for rent onboard.
