Tioman, once rated as one of the Top Ten Most Beautiful Islands in the World, is visited by island hoppers, sun lovers, snorkelers and divers by the thousands every year. The marine areas around Tioman have been gazzetted as marine parks to conserve and protect marine flora and fauna such as fish, coral reefs and aquatic floras from being destroyed by fishing and other human activities.

Be it the sandy beaches, coral reefs, pristine rainforest or myths and legends of its history, Tioman is a jewel in the South China Sea. The Island is located about 35 km off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the South China Sea. The island was made world famous when it’s beautiful beaches & dense jungle were depicted in the 1958 movie South Pacific as “Bali Hai.’ In the 1970’s Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the worlds top ten most beautiful islands and it is fair to say this beauty & magical aura still remain today. Densely forested hills & lime stone peaks cover much of the island, sloping down to meet numerous stunning white sand beaches & giant granite boulder strewn bays.

Tioman has long been popular with Singapore based divers looking for weekend diving breaks. The island was once reached by a long & arduous overnight bus & ferry journey. Now with White Manta diving you can travel to this slice of paradise in true comfort. After departure from Punggol Marina & country club you can unwind & enjoy a fabulous dinner, meet and greet fellow guests and crew while enjoying the comfort & facilities of the MV White Manta. After a good nights sleep, wake up bright & early to enjoy all the best diving spots Tioman has to offer.

The calm, sheltered waters surrounding Tioman island are perfect for all levels of divers. New, training and beginner divers can enjoy the safety & protection offered by the many shallow reefs and secluded bays, whilst more advanced divers & photographers will be amazed at the healthy hard & soft coral gardens along with the wide variety of marine life on display. Between dives enjoy the spectacular tropical scenery whilst dining on world class food prepared by our Thai chef & crew

There are many great dive sites to choose from around the island, we may explore the swim-throughs at Labas, dive among the gorgonian fans at Chebeh, or visit the anemone garden at Bahara Rock. With a little luck, spot beautiful nudibranches and shrimps on your dives. See turtles, barracudas, stingrays, cuttlefish, reef sharks, bumphead parrot fish, moray eels and lion fishes too. Renggis Island, perhaps the most dived spot in Tioman, never fails to delight even the most experienced divers with a great chance to meet the resident Hawksbill turtle and, for those with sharp eyes, the shy Black tip reef sharks that call the shallow coral garden their home.
